Pulp (Science) Fiction by Zombie-Pacman Pulp (Science) Fiction by Zombie-Pacman
My take on Banksy's famous Pulp Fiction piece [link] , starring Han Solo and Malcolm Reynolds. Most people either recreate the piece or swap the heads and keep Jules' and Vincent's suits...I went that extra mile. Spent forever in Photoshop mixing and matching photographs into the right poses; the guns were a particluar problem (trying to get the facing the same-ish direction), but the faces were the most important part. If they were rubbish, there was no point in doing anything else. My new phone came in particularly handy, as I was able to switch the camera to "negative" mode to see what it looked like in progress.

This has also provided me with a stage of evolution in my stencil-making, as I have now started using a white border around subjects. Leaving blank spaces like I used to would have meant that Han's crotch would have been a large empty space, so another lesson learnt.

There was quite a bit of bleed, but not enough for me to hate it.

Update: Woah! I wasn't expecting that! My eternal thanks go to ^kiwi-pdd for the Daily Deviation, If I had known it would get a response like this, I would have cleaned up my gallery a bit first! Speaking of which, the rest of my stencils are all collected in this folder if you fancy a gander...[link]

Any chance of this lovely piece ever being made available as a photo print?
Cheers!

I'm still not sure what the legality of making it into a print would be, as it's two copyrighted characters...and I don't know who the best person/place to ask about it is :(

I just read the FAQ on selling prints there, looks like I can't sell prints of my painting at all. Sorry!
